Garden Wedding Ceremonies are for a period of one and one half hours. A one-hour rehearsal by appointment is included in the rental fee. Wedding parties are welcome to use the grounds for wedding photos during the rental period. Wedding ceremony rehearsals are by appointment only and typically take place the day before the ceremony. Contact the Function Rental Coordinator to schedule an appointment. Due to our summer concert series, Friday rehearsals in July and August must conclude before 5:00 pm. The Museum strongly advises that the Justice of the Peace, Minister, Rabbi, or other Clergy are present at the rehearsal to ensure an organized and professional format. A function rental staff member will be present during your rehearsal.

A quaint Cape Cod style porch with an unmatched ocean view plays host to a background of sailboats, sandy beaches, placid water and salt air. With a wood beamed ceiling, cupola and spacious interior surrounded by seaside flora the Harbor Porch makes for the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening. Cocktails are on the lawn and s’mores at the beachside fire pit. We can accommodate two hundred guests on the porch. A larger event can combine a tent on the lawn with the porch. Russell Morin Catering & Events is the exclusive caterer for this venue. In 2010 the YMCA Southcoast’s Board of Directors agreed to open Shining Tides for weddings, receptions and special functions on a limited basis. Proceeds from events booked at Shining Tides help provide scholarship funds for the YMCA camp for children who could otherwise not afford to participate.
